"Note: Percentages may not add up to 100 due to rounding. The indicator is based on a statistical analysis of annual water quantity at monitoring stations over the 1974 to 2023 period. Annual water quantity for each monitoring station was determined by adding the daily water flows for stations over an entire year and then dividing the annual totals by the area of the contributing watershed for a depth in millimetres. A statistical analysis was then applied to the resulting values to determine if there was a trend. Positive trend values indicate that the annual water quantity at a station has increased over time, negative values indicate a decrease, and zero values indicate that the annual water quantity has remained the same over time.
